Far SW- SE Community Development Corporation has purchased and assembled properties at the corner of South Capitol Street, SW and Atlantic Street, SW in the Bellevue neighborhood of Ward 8 in the District of Columbia where it plans to construct a new 4-story mixed-use development to be known as Trinity Plaza.  The new environmentally sensitive building at 3927-3939 South Capitol Street SW and 17-21 Atlantic Street SW is designed to include ground floor retail and office space of approximately 5300 square feet and 39 parking spaces, with 49 residential rental units above on three levels.  The unit mix is 14 one bedroom units, 33 two bedroom units, and 2 three-bedroom units targeted at individuals and families making less than 60% of Area Median Income. The project will be developed through the use of tax exempt bond financing, the sale of 4% low income housing tax credits, and gap financing through the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DCHD).
